Why the Mediterranean

Iconic marinas, world-class cuisine and short hops between sheltered bays — the Med blends glamour and ease like nowhere else.

Whether Balearic calas, Riviera events, Italy’s coasts or the island worlds of Greece and Croatia — itineraries tailor effortlessly to families, friends and special occasions.

Excellent infrastructure, deep provisioning and rich onshore programs make it attractive for first-timers and frequent charterers alike.

Season & Weather

  • Season: Main season runs May to October; the liveliest weeks are usually July and August.
  • Best months: June, early July and September — warm water and slightly fewer crowds.
  • Note: For high-demand spots like the Riviera & Balearics we recommend early berth and restaurant holds. Greece and Croatia are ideal for island-hopping with short legs.

Yachting Notes

August berths go fast. For privacy, use the shoulder months or head east — conditions stay summery while bays are often calmer.

Pair onshore gastronomy with “toy days” on board: seabobs, e-foils and a strong tender crew make the most of calas and sea caves.

Prevailing summer breezes allow comfortable day passages. Choose lee shores and arrive early to secure the best anchor spots and a relaxed afternoon in the water.

Insider Tips

  • The typical Med rhythm: anchor for lunch, marina for dinner — quiet days and short walks ashore at night.
  • For the calmest water in July/August, favor sheltered Riviera bays or island routes in Croatia.
  • Arrange beach-club tables, water-toy setups and tender slots in peak weeks — we handle the logistics.
  • Split embark/disembark saves repositioning miles and optimizes the route to your wish list.

Mediterranean Charter — FAQ

For most Med routes, 30–50 m is ideal: ample deck space with good marina flexibility. Very large yachts can face berth limits in peak weeks.

For late June to August we recommend 6–9 months lead time. Shoulder periods offer more choice and flexibility.

Yes. Short hops — e.g., Balearics or Croatia — are perfect. Many yachts feature safety nets, low swim platforms and water toys.

On top of the base rate, an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) of ~30–35% covers fuel, provisions and berths. VAT/local taxes vary by country. Gratuity is discretionary; 10–15% of the net charter rate is common in the Med.

A preferred itinerary sets the tone, yet we stay flexible to weather and mood. The captain aligns day runs with you each morning.

Most yachts offer Wi‑Fi via 4G/5G or VSAT. Share streaming or remote‑work needs so we can plan data packages.

Outside peak weeks, often yes. In July–August we recommend early holds; alternatively we use nearby anchorages.
