Why North America

New England blends maritime history, lighthouses and charming coastal towns with short summer passages.

Alaska represents majestic wilderness: glacier fronts, bear watching, whales — and wide, silent fjords far from civilisation.

Florida adds year-round sunshine and cosmopolitan yachting: from Miami’s glamour to the laid-back Florida Keys and the polished marinas of Palm Beach.

All three regions offer distinct experiences — from regattas and seafood in New England, heli-hikes and wildlife in Alaska, to nightlife and beach clubs in Florida.

Season & Weather

  • Season: New England: June – September (peak Jul–Aug) • Alaska: May – September • Florida: year-round, peak December – April

Insider Tips

  • Lock in New England events (regattas, summer festivals) early — berths are in high demand.
  • In Alaska, keep itineraries flexible: wildlife encounters and weather windows set the pace.
  • Plan heli-accessible viewpoints and secluded coves in Alaska well ahead with your captain.
  • In Florida, book early for holidays such as Christmas and New Year in Miami • Art Basel draws yachts from around the world.

North America Charter — FAQ

New England offers short hops, many safe anchorages and plenty to do ashore. Alaska is nature-intensive and best for explorers. Florida suits families who value sun, beaches and short cruising legs.

New England: 30–50m classic motor yachts with ample deck space. Alaska: explorer/superyachts with long range, rugged tenders & possibly a helideck. Florida: 25–50m modern motor yachts with large outdoor decks, close to marinas and beach clubs.

Summer is mild but variable. We advise layering, and interiors remain warm thanks to heating. Florida by contrast offers consistently warm weather.

Some areas in Alaska require permits or park permissions. Florida and New England are more straightforward; your captain arranges all formalities.
